About the role#
This Development Engineering internship focuses on laser process optimization and materials characterization. You will gain experience in laser material interactions while working on-site in Perrysburg, Ohio. The role runs from January 2027 through May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support experimental testing and analyze materials using optical microscopy.
- Contribute to scaling up laser processes in photovoltaic modules.
- Prepare samples and measure physical and electrical properties.
- Maintain detailed experimental records.
- Present your accomplishments and a project summary to the leadership team at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a STEM field, specifically Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Completed coursework in physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or materials science.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Ability to use analytical skills to read charts and graphs to identify trends.
- Ability to learn the operation, calibration, and maintenance of process equipment.
- Familiarity with basic electrical components.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of associates and demonstrate ownership of tasks.

- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour.
