About the role#
This internship focuses on supporting site throughput and yield improvements through data-driven continuous improvement projects. Interns will work across various functional teams to conduct investigations, analyze production data, and implement solutions on the factory floor. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze throughput constraints and scrap data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support daily status reporting and conduct root cause investigations.
- Learn and utilize JMP statistical software and other tools for data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, organize, and report findings.
- Create Standard Operating Procedure documents and monitor their implementation on the factory floor.
- Support production floor logistics, experiment execution, and lab sample preparation.
- Present project summaries and accomplishments to the leadership team at the end of the internship.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations in professional forums.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Data Science.
- Strong background in engineering and statistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause identification and solution implementation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Experience with data analytics is required.
Location & details#
- Location: Perrysburg, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (3-6 months).
- Compensation: $22-$25 per hour.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or sit for the duration of a shift, lift up to 27 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
