About the role#
The Equity Quantitative Research team works with investment professionals to provide alpha generation, portfolio construction, and risk management analytics. As an intern, you will join the Quantitative Research and Investing division to contribute to investment strategies and data-driven research. This is a full-time, paid summer internship.
What you'll do#
- Research and build quantitative factors and models.
- Analyze structured and novel data sources to generate alpha.
- Investigate techniques to improve portfolio construction and optimization.
- Publish investment research.
- Present findings directly to the team and portfolio managers.
What you'll need#
- Expected graduation date of 2028 with a Master's or PhD in Quantitative Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a Physical Science.
- Alternatively, an MBA with a prior undergraduate degree in one of those fields.
- Strength in mathematics, statistics, and programming.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, SAS, SQL, or C++.
- A clear interest in investing and financial markets.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7th to August 13th).
- Compensation: $50 to $77 per hour.
