    About the role#

    This is a paid, full-time internship with Ferrovial, specifically within the Webber heavy civil division. You will work on-site in Houston, Texas. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple areas including safety, survey, estimating, project supervision, and field engineering.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn to perform Job Hazard Analysis and Hazard Safety Observations.
    • Use and apply the required Personal Protective Equipment for all jobsite tasks.
    • Monitor the site to prevent safety incidents and conduct regular jobsite audits.
    • Interpret project plans and learn to set layouts.
    • Calculate the man-hours, time, and materials required for production.
    • Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Science/Management.
    • A full understanding of construction math concepts.
    • Ability to perform moderate to high levels of physical activity in a field-based environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
