    About the role#

    This Field Engineer Intern II position within the Energy division offers hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will rotate through key areas including safety, surveying, estimating, project supervision, and field engineering. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hartsville, South Carolina.

    What you'll do#

    • Handle jobsite safety activities, including JHA and HSO documentation, and perform regular jobsite audits.
    • Interpret construction plans and set layouts for project teams.
    • Conduct surveying to determine quantities and practice accurate surveying techniques.
    • Assess the man-hours, time, and materials required for production.
    • Communicate and delegate work plans directly to field crews.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Science/Management degree program.
    • Full understanding of construction math concepts.
    • Ability to perform moderate to high levels of physical activity in a field-based construction environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
