About the role#
The Credit Risk Management team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking an intern to support core operational functions. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in financial analysis and risk monitoring within a central banking environment. You will work onsite in Cleveland, Ohio, for a full-time summer term.
What you'll do#
- Ensure daily operations of core functions align with established policy, procedure, and risk requirements.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging risk topics and financial condition reviews of depository institutions.
- Assist with data validation and eligibility reviews of loan collateral pledged to the Discount Window.
- Analyze complex financial statements and liquidity for depository institutions.
- Prepare and deliver briefings, presentations, and recommendations for key decision-makers.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or General Business.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least one semester of school remaining.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a group setting.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder.
Location & details#
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week) for 10 to 12 weeks.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
