About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is hiring for the Payments Forum Internship. This role supports the Federal Reserve Payments Study, which is a comprehensive analysis of noncash payments activity in the United States. You will work with the Payments Forum to engage financial institutions and processors in this research. We are looking for a candidate to commit to both the Spring and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Recruit depository and financial institutions, major card networks, payments processors, and card issuers.
- Perform data submission and validation activities.
- Encourage respondent participation in the Federal Reserve Payments Study.
- Assist respondents with the participation process for the study.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in economics or business administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
- Organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to make a two-semester commitment for Spring and Summer 2027.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Schedule: 15 hours per week during the Spring semester and 30 hours per week during the Summer semester.
- Work Modality: This position is eligible for on-site, hybrid, or remote work, though on-site work is an essential function and required according to management schedules. On-site work is encouraged during the summer to engage in broader internship offerings.
- Employment Status: This is a paid, part-time internship.
