About the role#
As a Manufacturing Planning Intern, you will work on-site at our Indiana Harbor facility. This role involves managing production schedules and inventory to meet customer delivery needs. You will work alongside operations, sales, and accounting teams to coordinate production and expedite orders.
What you'll do#
- Build production schedules and manage work-in-progress inventories.
- Use Microsoft Excel and SQL Server Management Studio to retrieve, filter, and validate data.
- Prepare and issue daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and suggest actions.
- Support the monthly and annual production forecast planning process.
- Automate manual Excel tasks and maintain existing automated reports.
- Assist with company-wide delivery improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Completion of your sophomore year by the summer of 2027.
- Current legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
