About the role#
The Supervision and Risk Management (SRM) division offers a 10-week summer internship for students interested in the financial sector. This role provides direct experience in bank supervision and regulatory processes. Interns will work on projects that contribute to the stability of the financial system while receiving professional guidance and feedback.
What you'll do#
- Complete various projects involving quantitative analysis, qualitative write-ups, and presentations.
- Assist on bank examinations by conducting financial analysis and reviewing compliance with regulations.
- Evaluate statutory factors related to bank application processing.
- Provide recommendations to improve internal websites and automated tools.
- Present findings and assessments to Federal Reserve Bank management.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate students graduating between May 2027 and May 2028, or current graduate students.
- Pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a business-related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with full-time on-site work and 5 days per month of remote flexibility.
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour.
- Travel: Required for bank examinations and for onboarding or offboarding at the Kansas City headquarters.
- Screening: This role requires additional background screening, including credit and criminal history checks, due to access to confidential supervisory information.
