About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a paid summer internship for undergraduate students interested in internal audit. You will work for a regulatory bank dedicated to the public good. This program provides direct exposure to bank operations and insight into the broader Federal Reserve System.
What you'll do#
- Engage in project-based assignments within your assigned department.

- Build relationships with subject matter experts, bank leadership, and fellow interns.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Current U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10 to 12 week program.
- Intermediate skills in Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present information verbally.
- Ability to interpret data and analytics to support decision-making.
- A detail-oriented, self-motivated, and independent work ethic combined with a team-player attitude.
- Professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients.
- Majors in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

- Compensation: $20 to $33 per hour, based on academic level.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Note: This position requires additional screening, including education and employment verification, criminal and credit history checks, and reference checks. Employees must comply with bank ethics rules regarding the ownership of certain financial securities.
