About the role#
This internship provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with direct exposure to the operations of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. You will work for a regulatory bank dedicated to the public good. The program includes project-based assignments and professional development activities that align with our mission. You will gain insights into the broader Federal Reserve System while contributing to your assigned department.
What you'll do#
- Engage in project-based assignments and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the work of your assigned department.
- Build relationships with subject matter experts, Bank leadership, and fellow interns.
- Interpret data and analytics to develop insights, support decision-making, and measure impact.
- Present information verbally and respond to questions from small to medium groups.
- Interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-12 week program.
- Intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
