About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking an Audit Intern for Summer 2027. This full-time, paid internship provides practical experience within the Internal Audit department. You will contribute to risk-based assurance projects and gain exposure to the operations of a central bank.
What you'll do#
- Assist with IT and operational audits or projects for various business areas.
- Conduct interviews with staff, management, and clients to understand control environments.
- Analyze data and business processes to verify compliance with policies.
- Help audit staff determine the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Prepare workpapers for audit management and the auditor-in-charge.
- Manage ad hoc assignments, such as flowcharting processes or updating department tools.
- Participate in leadership and career development activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products like Excel and Access.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a deadline-driven environment.
- Capacity to work both independently and within a group setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder.

- Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
- Modality: This position is on-site.
- Duration: 10 to 12 weeks, working 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.50 to $26.00 per hour.
