About the role#
The Supervision Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York works to promote a safe, sound, and stable banking system. As a summer intern, you will join a ten-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in financial supervision and regulation. You will be assigned to a specific business function, such as risk exams, supervisory analysis, or consumer compliance, where you will contribute to the team's ongoing objectives. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in New York.
What you'll do#
- Perform critical financial analysis to support supervisory activities.
- Conduct research and prepare formal presentations on financial topics.
- Assess the safety and soundness of domestic banking institutions and foreign banking organizations.
- Participate in periodic onsite evaluations and offsite financial analysis.
- Collaborate with other interns and employees across the Bank.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior.
- Expected graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028.
- A strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in economics, finance, business administration, or computer science.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and explain complex information.
- Curiosity, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
