About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will work on-site to gain experience in insurance and underwriting while contributing to the Ag Underwriting team. The program balances daily project work with networking and corporate activities to help you understand the organization and industry culture.
What you'll do#
- Review current Ag policies.
- Prepare underwriting reports.
- Complete policy review tasks and update underwriting documents.
- Assist with various projects as needed.
- Participate in corporate activities to learn about the business, leadership, and company culture.
What you'll need#
- You are a current college student, preferably majoring in business, agriculture, or insurance.
- You have strong computer skills and can learn new systems quickly. Experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel is preferred.
- You are detail-oriented and willing to ask questions.
- You communicate effectively and enjoy working in a team.
- You have a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- You are able to learn the basics of property insurance policies.
