About the role#
Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a PC Data Analytics Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site role is based in West Des Moines, Iowa. You will spend the majority of your time on project-based assignments, with additional time dedicated to networking and learning about the company culture and operations.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Support underwriting and claims teams by identifying trends and process improvements.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to provide business insights.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from enterprise databases.
- Assist with data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
- Document data definitions and analytical methodologies.
- Participate in corporate activities to gain exposure to the insurance industry.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in data science, statistics, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with high motivation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: West Des Moines, IA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
- Work Modality: On-site.
