About the role#
F&G is seeking an Investment Accounting intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with the Investment Accounting team to manage accounting and reporting for invested assets totaling approximately $25 billion. This role involves maintaining records on both U.S. Statutory and U.S. GAAP bases while supporting the monthly and quarterly close process.
What you'll do#
- Assist with general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare reconciliations for mortgage loans, derivatives, pledged collateral, and other investment types.
- Draft journal entries and perform supporting analysis.
- Support the credit watchlist process.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Handle ad hoc tasks, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale within your major.
- Intermediate or advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and create accurate documentation.
- A willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Interest in a career within the financial services industry is preferred.
