About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will deliver signature customer experiences at LensCrafters. You will work under the supervision of a licensed optician to provide high-quality eye care and optical services. This role involves maintaining the store appearance and ensuring customers receive personalized attention.
What you'll do#
- Assist customers with frame selections and provide recommendations on eyewear.
- Educate customers on adjustment services and answer questions about products.
- Record measurements and perform accurate eyewear fittings.
- Operate the point of sale terminal to process transactions and manage prescription information.
- Develop optical skills among team members to support a learning environment.
- Maintain store displays and overall visual presentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
- Previous experience in optical dispensing, customer service, or retail.
- Knowledge of optical theory, merchandise, and inventory management systems.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort using technology, including tablets, to engage with patients and associates.
- Active study toward LensCrafters Final Inspector Certification and Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program.
