About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will deliver high-quality customer experiences and help maintain our store standards. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to ensure every customer receives accurate service and expert guidance. This role is a part-time, rolling position based in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Provide helpful recommendations to customers as they select eyewear.
- Record measurements and perform adjustments to ensure a proper fit.
- Use the Point of Sale terminal to enter customer and prescription data accurately.
- Maintain the store appearance and visual displays.
- Support an effective learning environment by sharing optical knowledge with other associates.
- Address customer questions about products and services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
- Previous experience in optical dispensing, customer service, or retail.
- Familiarity with optical theory and inventory management systems.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort using tablets and other technology to engage with patients.
- Active study toward the LensCrafters Final Inspector Certification and the Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program.
