About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will deliver high-quality customer experiences and support the optical team. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to ensure accurate service and product delivery. This role focuses on developing your technical skills while helping customers find the right eyewear solutions.
What you'll do#
- Provide helpful service to customers by answering product questions and assisting with selections.
- Record measurements and perform eyewear adjustments under the supervision of a Licensed Optician.
- Use the Point of Sale terminal to accurately input prescription and customer information.
- Maintain the appearance of the store and visual displays.
- Share your optical knowledge with other associates to support a collaborative learning environment.
- Use tablets and other technology to engage with patients and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service.
- Practical knowledge of optical theory and merchandise.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort using tablets and digital tools.
- Preference for candidates actively studying for the LensCrafters Final Inspector Certification or the Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program.
