About the role#
The Student Optician role at LensCrafters provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optical dispensing while supporting the delivery of high-quality vision care. This position involves working under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to assist customers with eyewear selections and ensure accurate optical measurements.
What you'll do#
- Provide exceptional customer service by offering product recommendations and educating clients on adjustment services.
- Assist customers with eyewear selection and address questions regarding products.
- Record precise measurements and perform eyewear fittings and adjustments under the supervision of a Licensed Optician.
- Operate the Point of Sale terminal to input customer and prescription information accurately.
- Maintain the store appearance and visual displays.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
- Previous optical dispensing experience.
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Proven sales skills and comfort using technology, including tablets, to engage with customers.
- Ability to be proactive and solution-driven.
