About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Ericsson Customer Issue and Investigation Group (CIIG). You will support radio product verification and investigate customer network issues. You will gain practical knowledge of radio and baseband technologies while working on real-world problems in 5G network environments.
What you'll do#
- Develop knowledge of Ericsson radio products, including Massive MIMO and indoor portfolios, as well as purpose-built and Cloud RAN basebands.
- Support customer case investigations by reproducing issues in a lab environment.
- Troubleshoot radio hardware and software.
- Execute Test Object List (TOL) test cases for new radio products.
- Set up configurations using Qualcomm UE software and lab tools such as spectrum analyzers.
- Design Moshell scripts to contribute to test case automation.
- Assist in preparing workshops and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Analyze data related to Ericsson radios and team performance.
- Use and help automate AI tools and agents.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages like Python, Java, and Bash.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- A basic understanding of electronic circuits, computer networking, and RF networking.
- Familiarity with AI tools and generative AI platforms.
- Strong organizational and communication skills in English.
- An unofficial copy of your transcript to upload with your application.
