About the role#
This co-op position supports the Individual Insurance line of business within our IT department. You will join a team focused on delivering high-quality software solutions through rigorous testing practices. This is a full-time, four-month contract running from January 2027 to April 2027.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute a full range of testing activities, including functional, system integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Help expand our automated test suite for web and API applications.
- Build automated tests and configure them to run within CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain a reusable library of automated tests.
- Identify and resolve common script execution issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a formal post-secondary co-op program.
- Experience reading and writing JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Selenium for test automation.
- Understanding of Software QA terminology and testing software.
- Knowledge of API testing tools and GIT.
- A detail-oriented and proactive approach to working both independently and with a team.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Waterloo, Ontario.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the office for a minimum of two consecutive days every other week, plus one additional day per month.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
