About the role#
As an RF Engineering Co-op, you will join our research and development team to support work on 5G and 6G communication systems. Your primary focus is developing test systems for calibrating and testing RF components, rather than designing the components themselves. You will work within an international team to gain practical engineering experience and insight into day-to-day operations.
What you'll do#
- Implement measurement and automation scripts using LabVIEW.
- Develop new measurement procedures for mixed-signal characterization.
- Build and refine test systems for calibrating and testing RF components.
- Collaborate with an international R&D team on communication systems research.
What you'll need#
- Active student enrollment working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming knowledge of test equipment control software, specifically LabVIEW, Simulink, or similar graphical programming environments.
- Understanding of signal processing, RF/wireless communications, S Parameters, frequency domain analysis, and intermodulation.
- Practical experience using common RF test equipment, including Signal Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
Location & details#
- Location: Santa Rosa, California, USA.
- Term: Full-time (40 hours per week) for 6 months, starting in January 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
