About the role#
Arconic is hiring a Cyber Security Intern to join our IT team in Pittsburgh. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. You will work directly with senior staff to gain fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles while supporting our ongoing security operations.
What you'll do#
- Execute directives issued by cybersecurity leads and senior team members.
- Support the daily activities of the cybersecurity department.
- Learn to manage security tools and solutions used across the organization.
- Perform basic first-line threat assessment and response tasks alongside experienced mentors.
- Assist teams focused on incident response, security awareness, and security engineering.
- Communicate project status and technical information to colleagues through various channels.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a similar IS/IT field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of algorithms, systems analysis and design, database concepts, and networking.
- You must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual to access controlled technology as required by federal regulations.

- This role is based on-site at the Arconic Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- This is a rolling internship position.
