About the role#
Arconic is hiring a Metallurgical Engineering Intern for a 10-week summer program. You will work on-site at our facility in Alcoa, Tennessee, from May 31, 2027, to August 13, 2027. This is a full-time, paid position that includes a monthly salary and a potential housing stipend. You will be paired with a manager and a mentor to help you navigate the company and your assigned projects.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and assist the Metallurgical Engineering group with daily tasks.
- Research and complete specific projects assigned to you.
- Support the engineering department on key initiatives.
- Use Microsoft Office tools to prepare and present materials to managers.
- Present your project work to the location Lead Team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Sciences, or an engineering degree with a focus on materials.
- Expected graduation date in 2027 or Spring 2028.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Prior work experience and involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
