    About the role#

    This internship provides students with a practical introduction to the Industrial Engineering field at the Davenport Works aluminum rolling mill. You will work alongside professionals to gain experience with real-world quality systems and contribute to the operations of the facility.

    What you'll do#

    • Attend an orientation to learn about company culture, benefits, and your responsibilities.
    • Receive area-specific training to prepare for your tasks.
    • Shadow and assist various groups throughout the plant.
    • Research and complete assigned projects.
    • Gain hands-on experience with quality systems.
    • Develop a mid-summer presentation to share project findings and solutions with teams across the organization.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
    • An expected graduation date in late Fall 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
    • Proficiency in Excel and general expertise in MS Office software.
    • Strong analytical, team, and leadership skills.
    • Effective communication skills and a strategic mindset.
    • Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, work-study roles, or volunteer positions.

    • This position is located in Bettendorf, Iowa.
    • The role is full-time and requires on-site attendance.
    • This is a paid internship.
