About the role#
DeBra-Kuempel is hiring an IT Support Specialist Co-op to support our technology infrastructure. You will work with the IT team to maintain hardware and software systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with network and security administration. This role provides hands-on experience in daily IT operations while ensuring compliance with company standards.
What you'll do#
- Implement and manage network security according to EMCOR policy.
- Provide end user help desk support and basic Active Directory assistance.
- Assist with the inventory, setup, and maintenance of computers, software, printers, and mobile devices.
- Perform antivirus and patch management for operating systems.
- Work onsite to complete IT projects and system upgrades.
- Ensure all work complies with EMCOR IT standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program for Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Ability to provide technical support for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
- Experience repairing, diagnosing, and upgrading PC hardware.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse team members.
- Exceptional customer service skills, patience, and attention to detail.
