About the role#
DeBra-Kuempel is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Co-op for the Spring 2027 semester in Cincinnati, Ohio. This full-time, paid position provides practical experience in the mechanical engineering field. You will work alongside professional engineers to develop HVAC system solutions, including financial and performance-based options for various projects like industrial piping, plumbing, and equipment replacement.
What you'll do#
- Attend company meetings to discuss project progress, budgets, and business plans.
- Assist Mechanical Engineers with retrofit, repair, and replacement projects.
- Help determine client needs and develop engineered solutions.
- Communicate prospective solutions to clients.
- Follow up with project managers regarding the status of ongoing work.
- Support Service Technicians with troubleshooting and problems at job sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems.
- Ability to commute to various field locations.
- Compliance with company fleet and driver policies.
