About the role#
Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is hiring interns to assist with various operations across the company. You will support teams in engineering, project management, accounting, and business services. This position is a chance to apply your academic studies to real construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn the day-to-day responsibilities of your chosen profession.
- Support senior staff members with their projects.
- Handle administrative tasks throughout the office.
- Use AutoCAD or REVIT software for technical assignments.
- Complete all required safety training.
- Put your academic knowledge to work on hands-on tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an academic program, such as high school or university.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks.
- A willingness to learn new skills and take on new projects.
- Consistent attendance, including the ability to work extended hours or weekends when necessary.
- Majors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering are preferred.

- Locations: Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, South Bend, IN; Detroit, Saginaw, MI; Columbus, Cincinnati, OH; Phoenix, Casa Grande, AZ.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
