About the role#
Shambaugh and Son, L.P. is seeking interns to support various functions across the company. You will gain experience in areas such as engineering, project management, accounting, and business services. This role is a chance to apply your academic studies to real projects while working alongside senior professionals.
What you'll do#
- Learn the day-to-day responsibilities of your chosen profession.
- Support senior staff with project tasks and administrative office duties.
- Use AutoCAD or REVIT software for technical assignments.
- Complete required safety training.
- Put your academic knowledge into practice through hands-on work.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a high school or university academic program.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks.
- A willingness to learn new skills and take on new projects.
- Reliability in attendance, with the ability to work weekends or extended hours if needed.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site at our locations in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, South Bend, IN; Detroit, Saginaw, MI; Columbus, Cincinnati, OH; and Phoenix, Casa Grande, AZ.
- We accept applications on a rolling basis.
- Preferred majors include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, and Business Administration.
