About the role#
University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors is seeking an Intern Project Engineer to join the team in El Cajon, California. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. You will support various construction projects by managing technical documentation and ensuring information flows correctly between internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Distribute and maintain project records, files, reports, and other documentation.
- Ensure proper control of project information.
- Follow standard University Mechanical forms and procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned by project managers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe, and Lotus Notes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic business math.
- Skills to organize and archive technical data.
- Capacity to work with minimal supervision while managing time and details.
- Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- A dependable and punctual approach to work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, vendors, and suppliers.
