About the role#
As a Superintendent Intern, you will work alongside the Superintendent to learn the day-to-day management of manpower. This includes planning, recruiting, and disciplining, as well as partnering with the apprenticeship school and union shop. You will gain exposure to various facets of construction operations and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Comply with all federal, state, and local safety guidelines and site-specific provisions.
- Partner with the Superintendent to provide site-specific guidance and coordination.
- Communicate with project managers and team members regarding labor and project progress.
- Ensure sites remain compliant and function as expected.
- Review daily reports to determine necessary actions.
- Coordinate with the local union regarding manpower needs.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as distributing apprentice evaluations and tracking certifications or licenses.
- Coordinate with HR and Safety teams on compliance activities.
- Escalate sensitive or critical issues to executive leadership or HR management.

- Active enrollment in college courses in a related field.
- A long-term interest in a construction career.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work efficiently.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High standards of quality with strong attention to detail.
- Conscientiousness and personal responsibility.
- Familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and web-based applications.
- Experience with ERP systems or construction and financial software packages.

- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
