About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Finance and Accounting Co-op position based in Sparwood, British Columbia. The role runs for 8 or 12 months starting in January 2027. You will work on-site at our mining operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in and follow all health and safety programs and policies.
- Prepare financial transactions according to corporate policies and procedures.
- Assist with month end close reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare account reconciliations.
- Support the provision of quarterly and annual financial, audit, and tax reporting requirements.
- Create and evaluate ideas to improve business processes.
- Assist with the standardization of systems used to gather and report financial data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Finance or Accounting.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License without restrictions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with Dynamics AX is an asset.
- Ability to prioritize work and show attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams.
Location & details#
- Location: Sparwood, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Salary: $4,117 to $5,192 CAD per month, based on completed academic semesters and prior experience.
- This role is on-site and requires a pre-employment drug screen.
