About the role#
This is a full-time co-op position for Winter 2027. You will work on-site at our operations in the Elk Valley. This role provides hands-on experience in environmental performance within the mining industry.
What you'll do#
- Manage and update environmental data in our Environmental Data Management System.
- Assist with internal self-assessments, verification, and audit processes.
- Conduct site inspections and perform gap assessments to share best practices.
- Summarize inspection outcomes in databases to track compliance.
- Develop and evaluate new ideas and technologies to improve business processes.
- Participate in health and safety programs and policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Environmental Performance.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong communication skills to share information across different levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work outdoors when required.
- Experience with Power BI is an asset.
