About the role#
Elk Valley Resources is hiring for an Electrical Engineering Co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in British Columbia. You will gain hands-on experience by applying your academic knowledge to real-world mining operations while working alongside experienced specialists.
What you'll do#
- Follow and support health and safety programs and policies.
- Create job plans and provide support for electrical projects on mobile mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation failures and perform bad actor analysis.
- Assist in the design of small-scale projects, including sizing and installing new equipment.
- Update site line drawings using AutoCAD.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree program.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License or an equivalent from your province.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Familiarity with Power Systems is considered an asset.
