About the role#
Discovery Mining Ltd is hiring for an Electrical Engineering Co-op position at the Kidd Operations site in Timmins, Ontario. This is a 12-month, full-time, paid placement starting in Winter 2027. You will report to the Maintenance Engineering Department at this underground mine site.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the implementation of a Ventilation on Demand Automation Project, covering both electrical and mechanical tasks.
- Investigate and resolve Engineering Assistance Requests (EARs) according to industry standards.
- Maintain and organize the document management database.
- Work with cross-functional project teams to support effective communication.
- Assist with general office tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering program at a recognized Canadian university.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- A background in Automation or experience with Electrical Engineering applications is preferred.
