About the role#
Discovery Mining Ltd is hiring a Mine Operations Engineering Co-Op for a 12-month placement at the Kidd Creek site in Timmins, Ontario. This role begins in January 2027 and offers exposure to engineering work in a deep mining environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to support mine planning and operations.
What you'll do#
- Track daily production data.
- Assist with production improvement projects.
- Help manage capital and operating budgets.
- Provide support to paste fill operations, including QAQC testing and reporting.
- Review engineering prints.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mining Engineering program at a recognized Canadian university.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
