    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience within the Turbine Development department at our global headquarters. You will work alongside engineering professionals to support the design and development of rotating equipment. The role includes individual projects, team collaborations, and exposure to daily operations through job shadowing and attendance at company and customer meetings.

    What you'll do#

    • Build detailed finite element models to simulate component stress, thermal loads, and mechanical behavior.
    • Conduct structural frequency and modal analyses to identify vibration risks and improve component durability.
    • Evaluate and refine geometric profiles using fluid dynamics concepts.
    • Translate simulation findings into actionable engineering recommendations.
    • Complete individual and team-based projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program.
    • Completion of at least the junior year of a Bachelor's degree. We also encourage full-time Master's students in Mechanical Engineering to apply.
    • Experience with FEA or CFD is required.
    • Students in other engineering majors may be considered.
    • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.

    • Location: Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position requiring a commute to our headquarters Monday through Friday.
