About the role#
This is an entry-level engineering position designed for candidates transitioning from a previous Duke Energy internship or co-op program. You will work under supervision to solve technical problems, build your professional skills, and gain experience in engineering design and research. This role offers the opportunity to progress toward greater independence while applying fundamental engineering concepts.
What you'll do#
- Solve problems within your specific engineering area of specialization.
- Develop skills to work with increasing independence.
- Research engineering and design issues to evaluate potential alternatives.
- Prepare and present technical recommendations based on your analysis.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Previous internship or co-op experience with Duke Energy.
- Understanding of basic engineering theories, principles, and project management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship.
