About the role#
The Engineering Technologist I is an entry-level technical support role. You will apply developing technical expertise to solve simple problems and provide oversight of work in your area of focus. This position is designed to help you build skills in your field of study while moving toward working with a degree of independence. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Solve simple technical problems by applying developing expertise.
- Provide oversight of work within a specific area of focus.
- Develop professional skills related to your field of study.
- Work with an increasing degree of independence.
- Visit field sites and power plants as required by the business unit.
What you'll need#
- An Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience, or 2+ years of equivalent industry experience without a degree.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience in the utility industry.
- Preferred: Understanding of basic principles of project management.
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
