About the role#
This is a returning internship and co-op program for Summer 2027. Interns will work on real-world projects alongside experienced engineers across various departments, including transmission, distribution, environmental health and safety, regulated and renewable energy, project management, natural gas, and nuclear generation. This is an on-site, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, assessment, and analysis of substations and transmission facilities.
- Manage and maintain equipment across various engineering departments.
- Support environmental regulation compliance at generating stations, including groundwater and coal ash projects.
- Participate in grid planning, sectionalization, and project management tasks.
- Contribute to the development, construction, and startup of energy projects, including renewable assets and power generation technologies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
- A cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Must not graduate prior to August 2026.
- A valid driver's license.
