About the role#
The Information Technology Returning Intern program offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience within the Enterprise Technology and Security department. Interns contribute directly to team goals while developing technical and professional skills in a real-world energy sector environment.
What you'll do#
- Gain on-the-job experience in software engineering, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Contribute directly to team objectives and take on complex technical challenges.
- Attend site visits, information sessions, and networking events with senior leadership and peers.
- Hone professional skills and learn about the broader business operations of the company.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related IT or Engineering field.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Graduation date set for after August 2026.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and Angular.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks).
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring a commute to the facility.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
