About the role#
This is an intermediate HR Consultant position designed for individuals transitioning from a previous internship or co-op program at Duke Energy. You will work with general supervision to solve complex human resource problems and apply fundamental procedures to varied tasks. This role focuses on developing advanced skills and working with greater independence.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex problems across various human resource specializations.
- Apply core HR concepts to fairly complex and varied work.
- Facilitate meetings with both small and large groups.
- Communicate and work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Prioritize multiple tasks while managing diverse customer expectations.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a relevant field plus one year of experience. A relevant master's degree may be substituted for these requirements.
- Previous internship or co-op experience specifically at Duke Energy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze issues and make recommendations.
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship.
