About the role#
This internship supports the Economic Development team at Duke Energy Florida. You will work alongside Economic Development Managers and the Assistant Project Manager to help drive regional growth. The role focuses on projects that aim to increase capital investment and job creation in the communities the company serves.
What you'll do#
- Support economic development projects, site evaluations, and lead generation efforts.
- Assist with project responses and coordinate site visits.
- Help organize meetings, events, and outreach to economic development partners.
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies using research and IT platforms.
- Provide support during storm events if needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in Business, Communication, Education, International Business, International Affairs, Economics, or Marketing.
- A graduation date scheduled after August 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Reliable, consistent transportation to ensure timely arrival at the facility.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without employment-based sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: High Springs, FL.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with work performed from both remote and onsite locations after onboarding.
- Schedule: 15 hours per week.
- Travel: 5-15% expected.
