About the role#
This is a full-time, temporary internship assignment for the Summer of 2027. You will work within the Finance department to support business needs. This role offers exposure to various financial systems and professional mentorship while you gain experience in a large utility company.
What you'll do#
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Support budget preparation and perform variance analysis.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other financial systems to complete tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or a Master of Accountancy (MACC) or Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- You must not graduate before August 2027.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the 10 to 12 week summer session.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will work onsite 3 days per week after the onboarding period. You must live within a reasonable commute to the facility.
- Housing stipend is available when applicable.
- This position is paid.
