Strategy Intern

About the role#

As a Strategy Intern, you will join a centralized team tasked with identifying, quantifying, and developing plans for new business opportunities. You will partner with diverse trading businesses across the firm to help operations, trading, and technology teams evaluate future initiatives, identify gaps in current experience, and highlight underutilized expertise. This is a paid, full-time internship based in Chicago.

What you'll do#

• Identify and define strategic priorities in close collaboration with leadership.
• Build relationships across trading groups to expand into new or incremental opportunities using the firm's unique capabilities.
• Partner with relevant desks and project managers to drive the implementation of new initiatives.
• Deliver data-based business planning recommendations, including cost models and scenario outcomes, to senior leaders.
• Investigate new business opportunities by analyzing market data, exchange volume trends, and the competitive landscape.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related science discipline, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Proven ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools to automate tasks and improve productivity.
• Ability to leverage data to analyze and quantify business opportunities.
• Understanding of derivative markets.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.

• Location: Chicago, Illinois (On-site).
• Term: Rolling.
• Compensation: $110,000 annual base salary.
