About the role#
As a Leadership Rotation Network (LRN) Analyst Intern, you will work within a middle or back-office team, such as Global Trading Operations, Treasury, Product Control, Credit Risk, Project Management, Business Management, or Finance. This 10-week summer internship provides an in-depth look at how trading functions work together. You will receive a challenging project advised by an experienced professional, participate in a 5-day market fundamentals course, and engage in a speaker series to expand your understanding of the business.
What you'll do#
- Apply your knowledge and skills to deliver value within your assigned team.
- Lead projects and participate in daily processes to gain insight into your team's role in supporting the trading business.
- Analyze situations and develop solutions that align with strategic goals.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and the trading infrastructure.
- Collaborate effectively within diverse teams and build relationships with cohort members.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field, with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Basic proficiency in Python, including experience with pandas, CSV/JSON files, and API interaction.
- Ability to write intermediate SQL queries, such as JOINs, CTEs, and PIVOT.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, and macros/VBA.
- Strong organizational skills, a self-starter attitude, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position. Physical presence in the Chicago office is required.
- Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is $90,000.
- Sponsorship: This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
