About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern, you will build advanced trading and risk applications. You will work on computationally intensive software under the guidance of senior technologists, with the goal of deploying your projects during your ten-week term. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to proprietary software solutions while gaining insight into the trading industry.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions.
- Create decoders to receive raw packet data from exchanges.
- Build normalizers to process decoded data and construct books for traded instruments.
- Conduct robust research using a data-driven approach to perform statistical analytics on large datasets.
- Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers, and business analysts in cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related science discipline.
- Excellent software development skills in C++, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP) and multi-threaded applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
