About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern, you will build advanced trading and risk applications. You will work under the guidance of senior technologists to develop computationally intensive software with the goal of deployment during your ten-week internship. This role involves working on complex projects that directly impact the firm's operations.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions.
- Create decoders to receive raw packet data from exchanges.
- Normalize decoded data to build a book for traded instruments.
- Conduct robust research using a data-driven approach to employ statistical analytics on large data sets.
- Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers, and business analysts in cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related science discipline.
- Excellent software development skills in C++, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP) and multi-threaded applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
