About the role#
Engineering Co-Op students support the research and development of new or existing systems, hardware, and software. You will work with the Software Engineering Division, focusing on low-level software for real-time embedded systems. This role is for students who want to apply their skills to practical applications in domains like sensor, vehicle, and infrastructure systems.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and enhance engineering solutions for technical problems.
- Implement, test, and analyze systems while providing documentation support.
- Generate and present test reports that include plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions.
- Complete assignments to build a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program.
- Ability to work full-time for a 6 month period.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A solid work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.

- Locations: Cambridge, MA and Lowell, MA.
- Modality: On-site with the ability to occasionally work from home.
- Employment: Full-time paid position.
- Majors: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
