About the role#
This summer internship focuses on mathematical and software modeling, simulation, and analysis. You will join a team of engineers to evaluate the performance of dynamic systems. You will work alongside system designers to learn about inertial navigation sensors and guidance systems.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop engineering solutions for technical problems.
- Implement, test, and analyze system performance.
- Provide documentation support for your work.
- Generate and present test reports that include plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions.
- Complete assignments to build practical knowledge of engineering processes, facilities, and systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- An interest in solving analytical and mathematical problems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and risks.
- Knowledge of modeling, simulation, and algorithm design concepts is desired.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, SIMULINK, or PYTHON is highly desired.
