About the role#
Draper is seeking undergraduate and graduate students for an Acoustic and Vibration Technologies Co-op. This role focuses on the research and development of sensing and communication systems, including sensors, electronics, and signal processing. You will work on projects involving custom and COTS sensors, low-noise signal conditioning hardware, embedded processors, and acoustic simulation.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop engineering solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Implement, test, and analyze systems while providing documentation support.
- Generate test reports that include plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions.
- Complete assignments to build practical knowledge of engineering processes, equipment, and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering or physics degree program.
- Ability to work full-time for a 6-month period.
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- Experience with C, C++, MATLAB, Python, LTspice, Simulink, or COMSOL is desired.

- Compensation: Paid position with a base salary range of $20.00 - $45.00 per hour.
